Privacy
Last updated: 14 October 2026. This is a plain-words description of what the app does. It has not yet had a legal review.
What we keep
LUNETHYS has no accounts. When you open the app it makes you an anonymous guest with a random number, kept on your phone and on our server. We keep:
- your language and your phone's time zone;
- the cards you draw (today's card and free draws), the topic you chose, the date and the Moon at that time;
- the question you wrote for a free draw, if you wrote one;
- the private notes you write on a reading.
Only you can read your questions and notes in the app. They are never shown to anyone else and never put on a picture you share unless you choose to.
What we do not ask for
We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts or photos. There are no ads, no tracking and no analytics tools in the app.
Like any server, ours handles your internet address (IP address) to answer your phone, to limit abuse (for example, how many anonymous guests one connection can create) and in standard server logs, which are kept for about 14 days.
The optional deeper reading (AI)
A deeper reading is optional and only starts when you tap the button, after you have read and agreed to a notice in the app. Then:
- your cards, the topic and your question (if you wrote one) are sent from our server to an AI platform we run;
- that platform passes them to an AI model provider (for example Anthropic or Google), which writes the text;
- our AI platform keeps a copy of what was sent and what came back. If you delete a reading in the app, that copy may remain there;
- we never send your name, phone number or location.
The short question shown with today's card is written by an AI from the card and the Moon alone. Nothing you wrote is used for it.
Listening to a reading
Listening is optional too: a voice is made only when you tap “Listen” under a deeper reading. Then the reader’s opening line, the summary and the gentle step of that reading (never your question) go through our AI platform to Google, which makes the audio. The audio is kept on our server with your reading and deleted with it. Like for the reading itself, our AI platform keeps a copy of the text it sent, and keeps the audio for up to 7 days.
AI text is food for thought. It is not a prediction and not advice. If what you write suggests you may be in danger, the app shows a short message asking you to contact local emergency services or someone you trust. LUNETHYS is not an emergency service.
The optional subscription (LUNETHYS Pro)
In versions of the app that offer it, LUNETHYS Pro is an optional monthly subscription. You pay the App Store or Google Play, never us: we do not see your card or any payment details. See the terms of use for how it renews and how to cancel.
- So that we know whether you are Pro, our subscription service, RevenueCat, receives your anonymous guest number and your purchase receipt from the store;
- we keep only the date until which you are Pro, and how many free deeper readings you used this month;
- RevenueCat is a service provider: it uses this only to run the subscription, not to follow you or to show ads.
Deleting your data
- In the app, open a reading in the Journal and choose delete to remove that reading, its question and its note.
- In Settings, choose "Delete all my data" to remove everything we hold for your anonymous guest, and the guest itself.
- Deleting your data does not cancel a subscription: cancel it in your App Store or Google Play settings.
- Deleting in the app does not yet clear the copy that our AI platform may hold of a deeper reading. To ask us to remove it, contact us at oishiru@gmail.com.
Because there is no account, there is nothing to sign in to. If you uninstall the app or clear your phone, you may no longer be able to open your records, and they cannot be moved to another phone yet.
